Any firm, corporation, or individual engaged in business, calling or profession is required by law to pay a license fee, pursuant to Section 5-7-30 of the 1978 Code of Laws of South Carolina and the provision of Chapter 12 of the General Ordinances of the Town of Olanta. Those exempt from purchasing a business license are those engaged in the calling or profession of reaching and ministries of the Gospel.
Applications for business licenses can be obtained at the Town Hall or downloaded at the link below. Applications must be submitted to the Town Hall. Fees vary according to business activity and will be assessed by the Town Clerk upon submission of the application form. Licenses are valid for one year from date of issuance.
